BK8 secures shirt sponsorship deal with Aston Villa, defying EPL ban

Asia-focused operator BK8 has recently reached a multi-year agreement for shirt sponsorship with Aston Villa, even in the face of the English Premier League’s upcoming ban on such partnerships.

The three-year deal ensures that BK8 branding will prominently feature on the front of players’ shirts until the conclusion of the 2025-26 season. The agreement is in place despite Premier League clubs reaching a collective decision in April to cease gambling sponsorship on the front of matchday shirts. Read more

Golf’s U.S. Open breaks viewership records, reaching highest numbers since 2019

NBC has announced that last weekend’s U.S. Open has garnered the highest viewership for the golf tournament since 2019.

The overall viewership for the entire tournament averaged 3.4 million across NBC, Peacock, and USA Network, marking the best U.S. Open average in four years and a notable 27% increase from the previous year. The final round on Sunday at Los Angeles Country Club, broadcasted on NBC, Peacock, and NBC Sports Digital, achieved an average of 6.2 million viewers. The peak viewership reached an impressive 10.2 million as Wyndham Clark secured victory over Rory MclIroy in a thrilling finish. Read more
