Malta Gaming Authority stands by contentious Bill 55

Amidst a wave of criticism asserting that the amendment contradicts European law, the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) has come forward to say the bill doesn’t go against European law.

This bill, known as Article 56A within Malta’s Gaming Act, is affirmed by the MGA to be in harmony with European legislation. Its primary aim is to protect operators licensed in Malta from legal liability stemming from their gambling pursuits when these activities fall within the scope of their MGA licenses. Read more

World Athletics enters multi-year deal with Deloitte

World Athletics has unveiled an expansive global sponsorship collaboration with the UK-based management consulting firm, Deloitte.

Starting on January 1, 2024, and extending through December 31, 2029, Deloitte is set to serve as the official sponsor for both World Athletics and the World Athletics Series. Read more
