Italian FA asks for suspension of betting sponsorship ban

The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) has urged the country’s government to revoke a prohibition of betting-related sponsorships.

The federation claims that the suspension of the measure would allow the sports sector to recoup lost earnings.

“We are at a crossroads; we must act quickly to prevent the professional football crisis from obliging the clubs to block their activity, thus bringing the entire sports sector to its knees, the companies of the 12 product sectors connected to it and the entire country system, with an undesirable decrease in direct and indirect tax contributions” – said Gabriele Gravina, President of the FIGC. Belarusian sprinter Tsimanouskaya refuses to come home, seeks refuge in Poland

Belarusian Olympic sprinter has refused to return to her homeland, where she believed she would face punishment after a public fallout with her coaching team.

Tsimanouskaya arrived in Warsaw after she refused her coaches’ alleged instruction to return to her country. She sought Japanese police protection and was offered a humanitarian visa by Polish authorities. Read more

Messi leaves Barça! Complaint is filed to block his move to PSG

In a shocking statement, Barcelona have announced that Leo Messi is going to leave the club.

Messi is leaving the club due to the “financial and structural obstacles”, Barcelona said in their official statement.
