Irish bookmakers to follow new industry rules and safer betting standards

Bookmakers in Ireland have agreed to a new code of conduct brought by a new ‘Code of Practice on Safer Gambling’. The new rules include industry-wide ban on credit card transactions.

“We recognise that there is a need for the industry to continue to develop the highest of standards for safer gambling. We believe in particular that the credit card ban and the ‘whistle-to-whistle’ advertising restrictions are significant steps on that path.” said Sharon Byrne, chairperson of the Irish Bookmakers Association. Will sports betting in Arizona be blocked by tribe lawsuit?

The Yavapai-Prescott Indian Tribe has sued the state of Arizona claiming that the new sports betting law is unconstitutional.

The suit filed by the tribe asks the court to prevent the Department of Gaming from issuing sportsbook licenses and allowing betting.

NBA proposes stricter COVID-19 rules for unvaccinated players

Unvaccinated NBA players for the New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets and Golden State Warriors could be forced to miss home games this season under local COVID-19 rules, according to the NBA latest memo.

Unvaccinated players will have lockers “as far away as possible” from vaccinated teammates and will be separated from their teammates during team meals and on flights/team buses. Read more

6) You have the right to access the personal data held about you and to have your data rectified or erased or to restrict or to object to the processing as well as the right to data portability.
