Football (soccer) fans can’t wait to see the best leagues resuming their seasons. When it comes to the top European competitions, there are a lot of expectations regarding Bundesliga’s return.

In fact, the league has proposed a roadmap for the comeback, and Germany’s minister for the interior and sport said Sunday that he backs the resumption. “I find the schedule proposed by the German league plausible and I support the restart in May”, Horst Seehofer told the Bild newspaper. Read more

Coronavirus takes $12 billion from sports in the US

The sudden cancellation of sports will cost at least $12 billion in the USA, shows an analysis conducted for ESPN.

The coronavirus crisis has been damaging the American economy, and sports are taking a huge hit. According to an analysis conducted by Patrick Rishe of Washington University in St. Louis, the losses will include $5.5 billion in pro sports (if NBA and NHL cancel the rest of their seasons and MLB and MLS miss 50% of theirs), $3.9 billion in college sports, and $2.4 billion in youth sports tourism.
