A new Covid-19 outbreak in the Chinese capital has prompted a tightening of measures in three districts of the city. Beijing 2022 organizers announced a tough set of guidelines for next February’s Winter Olympic Games.

Olympic athletes, team staff and journalists who arrive at the Beijing 2022 Winter Games will all have to be vaccinated — or face a three-week “hard quarantine” period that lasts longer than the Games themselves. Read more

Lithuanian authorities warn betting industry regarding illegal activities

The Lithuanian Gaming Control Authority, which is part of the Ministry of Finance, has issued a warning to the country’s betting and gaming industry regarding illegal remote betting websites.

Under Lithuanian law, the Gaming Control Authority can implement regulatory measures and impose fines against operators who violate Gaming Law, notably holding the power to initiate payment blocking and DNS blocking. Read more

Sports betting has taken Illinois by storm

Professional sports leagues in the US had long rejected betting, but the moneymaking potential of the industry is clearly changing their hearts and minds.

Illinois-based sports franchises are a good example of the changing approach, as Cubs signed a $100 million deal with DraftKings to build an interactive retail betting parlour. AFC Ajax crowned top training club in Europe

According to the CIES Football Observatory 2021 rankings, the Dutch team nurtured 81 players currently active in 31 top divisions of UEFA member countries, six more than Shakhtar Donetsk.

Sporting CP, Dynamo Kyiv, and Dinamo Zagreb have all trained 70 such players.

However, when it comes to the top 5 European leagues, Real Madrid and Barcelona are on the top with 42 active players coming from each of these great clubs. Read more

6) You have the right to access the personal data held about you and to have your data rectified or erased or to restrict or to object to the processing as well as the right to data portability. If your personal data is processed under Article 6.1(a) of the GDPR (i.e. processed on the basis of the consent you have given to the processing), you may withdraw your consent at any time without any impact on the lawfulness of the processing carried out before your consent was withdrawn.
7) You may lodge a complaint in respect of the processing of the above data to the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection (PUODO).
