Become STATSCORE scout

Have you always dreamt of becoming a part of professional sport? Not only a supporter but one who makes a real impact? STATSCORE may offer you such opportunity. All you need to do is apply for a scout position and start the biggest adventure of your life. Oh yes – one more thing. First you need to pass the really hard exam we have prepared… Nothing comes easy, pal. Before you give it a try, we have prepared the answers for all the questions you might like to ask.

WHAT DOES THE SPORT SCOUTS DO?

They sit comfortably on their sofas, eat pop-corn, drink soda and enjoy watching games. Of course in their free time. During their ‘office hours’ they are responsible for covering live sports events directly from the venues or from TV. Each scout has an access to our special panel SportsAdmin, which can be used on their mobile devices or laptops.

The main responsibility is to tag quickly every key incident of the game according to STATSCORE rules and definitions to allow us to display the beauty of the game as it is in our SportsAPI, widgets and minisites. All events are represented in the panel with nice animated buttons, which make it easier to click the right ones, once something important happens. And it always does as sport nowadays is so quick.

To sum up – every little click of yours will join millions of other clicks by the other scouts building the Biggest Sports Data Center in the world. Literally BIGGEST! Do you feel the goose-flesh now? We always do.

WHAT MAKES THE PERFECT CANDIDATE FOR SCOUT?

You need to be a sport expert with a vast knowledge about one or more disciplines. You shall speak English and be well educated in terms, where you can look for the key sports data in the internet. This might be crucial when you need to check quickly eg. for the squads.

HOW SCOUT’S DAILY ROUTINE LOOKS LIKE?

You need to declare, when you are available to work. Then you will be informed which competitions and games you will be responsible for LIVE. After each event you are the one who has to check if the collected data is correct and equals the official stats of the game.

WHAT CAN MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL AT THE EXAM?

Read and watch carefully the learning materials that we have prepared for you. All the answers and tips are there. Then you need to make sure that you are on time for the prearranged dates for your tests. If we can add anything on the top of it – only practice will make you the best. So we advise to train, train and train even more before your exams.

WHAT ARE THE EXPECTED AVALIBILITY TIMES?

Glad that you asked. We will expect you to be free to work for STATSCORE in time matching the schedule of the competitions for which we hire new scouts. Weekends are usually the times, when the highest number of events take place. This creates a higher demand for scouts. The same goes for the afternoons (European time zones), when a lot of competitions play their games.
